EarthLIGHT in Action Program
Our partners at San Diego Lighting Associates (SDLA) decided to put EarthLIGHT into Action by making a difference in their community. They hosted a blood drive in collaboration with the San Diego Blood Bank. Though this blood drive, 13 units of blood were donated with the potential to impact nearly 40 lives in the community. Additionally, Acuity hosted two learning sessions discussing the importance of lighting in outpatient care and behavioral health environments. We are proud to support SDLA’s efforts in their community. SDLA has decided to give the $10,000 Acuity EarthLIGHT in Action donation to SBCS Corporation, an organization that provides services such as child well-being, youth development and education, family wellness and community engagement in San Diego county.
In addition, Rexel Atlantic made a difference through the Make-A-Wish Canada initiative, Trees of Joy. Associates decorated a Christmas tree and filled presents with country music themed decorations and gifts for a young Make-A-Wish member to provide him with an exciting and memorable gift experience. Rexel Atlantic has chosen to give the $10,000 Acuity EarthLIGHT in Action donation to Make-A-Wish Canada, specifically the Trees of Joy initiative, to provide more well deserving children with joy-filled trees and gifts in the upcoming holiday season.
