EarthLIGHT in Action Program
Our partners at West Michigan Lighting and Controls decided to put EarthLIGHT into Action by focusing on the wellness of their employees through their Wellness Wednesday initiative. They hosted a grilled cheese and soup bar for their associates to foster comradery and enjoy a delicious meal together. West Michigan Lighting has been selected as the agency winner of the quarterly raffle for our EarthLIGHT in Action program and has decided to give the $10,000 Acuity EarthLIGHT in Action donation to the David Warsen Legacy. Petty Officer Second Class David John Warsen of Grand Rapids, Michigan was a Navy Seal who tragically lost his life in Afghanistan in 2012. To honor David’s life, his legacy foundation gives back to the community through service scholarships, soccer scholarships, holiday packages for military members and through a run fundraiser.
In addition, Loeb Electric shared their EarthLIGHT activity of volunteering at the Mid-Ohio Food Collective and the NSI Food Pantry. Both organizations distribute food to people in need across central Ohio and beyond to combat food insecurity in the area. Loeb Electric has been selected as the customer winner of the quarterly raffle for our EarthLIGHT in Action program and has decided to give the $10,000 Acuity EarthLIGHT in Action donation to Butterfly Paws, a program through Nationwide Children's Hospital Foundation. Butterfly Paws provides healing and emotional support to children in medical settings through the work of specially trained Facility and Therapy Dogs.
We applaud West Michigan Lighting and Controls and Loeb Electric for their great work and appreciate them joining Acuity in putting EarthLIGHT in Action!
