EarthLIGHT in Action Program
Davis and Associates, Acuity’s Minneapolis based agent, decided to put EarthLIGHT into Action by donating gently used sports equipment for United Heroes League in partnership with the North Central Electric League. United Heroes League provides sports equipment and additional special experiences such as game tickets, camps and grants to military members and their families. Davis and Associates displayed their company values by supporting the families of those who serve our country.
Davis and Associates has been selected as the agency winner of the quarterly raffle for our EarthLIGHT in Action program. We are proud to support their efforts for all the good they are doing in their community. They have decided to give the $10,000 Acuity EarthLIGHT in Action donation to Lake Street Works operating under Urban Ventures. Lake Street Works provides training to Minneapolis high school students to set them on a valuable career path to become electricians, plumbers, carpenters or HVAC technicians. The $10,000 EarthLIGHT in Action donation will go towards Lake Street Work’s Golden Hammer Scholarship Program to provide many more opportunities for students to train in meaningful career opportunities.
For their own EarthLIGHT efforts, SESCO Canada, a Sonepar Company has focused on supporting animals in need through various fundraising efforts from their Sonepaws For The Cause team. From 2020 to 2023, SESCO Canada has raised $132,000 for 22 local humane societies, rescues and shelters. Every dollar of this fund raising is matched by Sonepar to double the positive impact on these organizations. SESCO Canada has also sponsored 62 youth sports teams in support of local animal shelters with the athletes wearing jerseys displaying the animal shelter’s logos.
SESCO Canada was selected as the winner for the EarthLIGHT in Action customer drawing and is honored to give the $10,000 Acuity EarthLIGHT in Action donation to the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society. The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society provides a variety of shelter and adoption services that treat animals with care and compassion.
