The Tribunal Judiciaire de Bordeaux court of law (formerly the Tribunal de Grande Instance) was renovated in 2018.
Why Distech Controls technology?
To cut down on the building’s energy consumption, a complete CTMS was installed using the Distech Controls solution: the ECLYPSE solution with several types of application-dependent connected controllers, as well as supervisor software.
The Distech Controls solution was chosen because of several benefits offered. First of all, ECLYPSE controllers run on standard and native protocols (BACnet/IP). This openness means the controllers are directly compatible with other equipment and software. This flexibility was high on the client’s list of important criteria. Additionally, the EC-BOS-8 multi-protocol solution made it possible to easily integrate all the site’s terminal unit controllers under the LonWorks protocol.
What’s more, the EC-Net 4 Supervisor software—along with all the associated data—belong to the project owner, with no need to pay for annual licensing. This software also enjoys native compatibility with multiple protocols (Modbus, BACnet MS/TP, LON, etc.), ensuring flexibility as well as freedom of implementation. This was a major factor in the selection of the Distech Controls solution.
Installation of HORYZON-C10 touchscreens was another attractive feature. These screens include the ENVYSION on-board web interface, enabling the site manager to easily monitor the building’s operations via customizable parameters. Another plus: these screens can be easily installed on most supports, including electrical cabinets.
