What skills are you developing through your internship? What excites you about working at Acuity Brands?
Throughout the past six weeks of my internship, I have developed stronger problem-solving, networking, and critical thinking skills. At Acuity Brands there is never a day I do not learn something new. From learning more about the industry to learning more about talent and organizational effectiveness, Acuity Brands offers me tremendous learning and growth opportunities. I enjoy working for a company who truly values their associates. Since Day 1 of my internship, I have felt accepted, appreciated, and valued.
Any hobbies, interests, or passions you’d like to share?
I enjoy being outdoors – I love to hike and recently started outdoor rock climbing.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would travel to Spain!

What skills are you developing through your internship? What excites you about working at Acuity Brands?
I am hoping to develop my analysis and critical thinking skills throughout my internship. I think that being able to hone these skills will help me bridge the gap between what I learn in the classroom and the real world. I am excited to put these skills to the test and really get comfortable approaching any problem that is in front of me. Working at a company that clearly values its team members really excites me. Ever since my first day I have loved learning about the company culture and seeing how what I do actually helps everyone move forward.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
If I could travel anywhere in the world I would go to Antarctica. I have always been fascinated by it and its surrounding wildlife, it is definitely on my bucket list.

What skills are you developing through your internship? What excites you about working at Acuity Brands?
I have started to think in different ways and explore a lot at work. I have developed creative thinking capability and I can very well solve customer-centric problems. I am hoping to meet a lot of people here and gain knowledge by sharing conversations with them. I love the kind of work I do at Acuity, there is flexibility for me to be creative and voice out my thoughts. I feel enthusiastic as I start to discover a lot of things when I am working.
Any hobbies, interests, or passions you’d like to share?
I like having debates/conversations. I am also very interested in playing sports.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I would love to go to Iceland.
