CEDI by Equans AEE / Nice University Hospital (France), where 35 CEDIs have been deployed
The CEDI box is a solution developed by Equans Digital AEE to industrialize the deployment of AHUs in hospitals.
The result of standardized engineering, the CEDI consists of a Distech Controls ECLYPSE S1000 controller, energy metering to control consumption, a standardized terminal block, and simplified electrical wiring for autonomous on-site commissioning. The ECLYPSE Designer software embedded in the Distech Controls controller makes it easy to configure the AHU in just a few clicks. All you have to do is select the type of AHU, its components, and the pressure, temperature and humidity controls. An alarm manager is also available, as is an integrated timetable for fine-tuning the system to reconcile user comfort and energy savings.
This unit, which meets the needs of 80% of all AHU types, was used to equip 5 technical plants at Nice University Hospital in just one day, compared with one month for a conventional, non-standardized solution. The advantages of this unit are considerable: easy maintenance and autonomous installation, all in a scalable solution.
Why Distech Controls in this box?
The ECLYPSE range was chosen to equip CEDI, and particularly the ECY-S1000 connected modular controller. The Equans team was won over by its powerful range of functions. The ECY-S1000's ability to operate with REST API was also a decisive criterion. What's more, the controller's modularity and flexibility are highly appreciated, as they enable to offer a unit that can be upgraded according to the operator's needs.
What's more, the partnership between Equans Digital AEE and Distech Controls has lasted for many years, and the Equans teams are completely autonomous when it comes to the ECLYPSE range of controllers. This saves considerable time and energy.
"We were won over by the power and modularity of the ECLYPSE controller," says Christophe VANDYCK, Director of Operational Performance for Equans Digital. "Distech Controls also listened carefully to our feedback and adapted its controller to our needs, which we greatly appreciated."
