The Ruck Hotel is the LOU Rugby club’s new hotel, which opened in December 2022 in the Gerland district of Lyon. This hotel with a full rugby spirit is open to both individuals and rugby teams. It has reportedly been chosen as the base camp for the New Zealand All Blacks during the next Rugby World Cup in France.
Why the Distech Controls solution?
The specification for this new hotel included a modern HVAC solution, with the ability to control the ambience of each room according to the wishes of its occupants.
Distech Controls has equipped each of the 134 rooms with an Allure Unitouch touchscreen interface, allowing the customer to choose their comfort settings: lighting, temperature, blinds, ventilation, etc. Each interface communicates with its own ECLYPSE PTU controller, which executes each command immediately.
The Allure Unitouch interfaces were chosen for their clean and modern look, but also for the possibility of displaying the LOU Rugby logo or those of the teams staying at the hotel on the screen.
