Salesforce Tower Atlanta is a 425 ft (130m) tall skyscraper in Atlanta Giorgia. It is the company’s regional headquarters in Atlanta and was completed in 1986 with a total of 34 floors. Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart & Associates, Inc. designed the building, and is the 25th tallest building in Atlanta.
Why Distech Controls technology?
The specifications for this project had three available control options; Carrier iView, JCI, and Siemens. The Salesforce Tower already had an iView system installed in their base building and Salesforce was using a software called Comfy App owned by Siemens. The scope involved fit out of 7 floors with phase 1 covering the first three of seven floors. Two main requests were integration of the base building system and easy integration into Comfy’s cloud-based system. We were able to navigate thru the challenges of proprietary systems, connecting cloud-based services, and the need for flexibility in the UI. In the end, the customer concluded that none of their three proposed systems could deliver on all of their requirements; and the best option for this project would be the Distech Controls Eclypse solution.
