Why Distech Controls Technology?
This was one of the first complex projects where Modern Niagara chose to utilize Distech Controls as the solution for the BMS and integration. Some of the challenges were providing the right control solution and integrate various complex systems that were part of the hospital's architecture, such as critical room control. The biggest challenge however was integrating to and phasing out the existing system in the existing site while keeping the building operational.
The Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital redevelopment project involved the construction of a seven-storey tower with capacity for 172 beds, and renovations to the existing hospital facility. With the completion of this project, the Burlington community now has improved access to a larger, modern hospital and more single patient rooms.
