Creation of a cardiac intensive care unit (USIC)
The Cholet Hospital has been working for several years to modernise its cardiology services to meet the growing needs of its population.
This project was made possible by the gradual strengthening of the medical and nursing team, which is now complete and stable.
In April 2024, the new cardiology unit was inaugurated.
It provides the Cholet region with a complete range of cardiology services, from diagnosis and treatment of the acute phase of heart disease to rehabilitation support. This includes activities such as
· specialist cardiology consultations open to the city;
· Cardiovascular imaging specialising in MRI, coroscanner and ultrasound;
· interventional cardiology, for the treatment of rhythm disorders and myocardial infarction;
· to accommodate patients in conventional and intensive care units, with capacity increased to 28 beds, including 20 conventional beds and 8 intensive care beds;
· accomodate 6 patients in day hospitalisation;
· paediatric cardiology procedures ;
· cardiovascular rehabilitation in an outpatient unit
Why Distech Controls technology
The Distech Controls solution was chosen for its full openness to the Bacnet/IP protocol, which can be perfectly integrated into the site's existing BMS.
The ease with which it can be programmed has encouraged end-users to invest fully in the maintenance and monitoring of their installations.
The project includes 12 AHUs and a substation.
ECY-303 controllers, coupled with EC-Smart-Vue for bedrooms and annexes, allows to manage various aspects of comfort:
- Control of room overpressure
- Constant flow control of rooms according to occupancy
- Control of room temperature according to occupancy
In addition, a connected Eclypse controller (ECY-S1000) is located in the ventilation-heating control cabinet.
