Purpose-designed research facility for hearing and related speech and language disorders with two separate wings with over six stories representing 215,278sqft (20,000m2) and includes an anechoic chamber, lecture theatre, Magneto Encephalograph, and specialist hearing rooms. The Australian Hearing Hub is renowned for teaching and research excellence in speech and hearing sciences and psychology.

The building has a traditional water-cooled chiller and gas-fired heating water boiler however the chilled water system is connected to the site 1,000,000L TES or low-temperature water storage facility to allow load shedding of the chillers in peak energy periods
