Part of Atrius’ global expansion, Building Insights delivers richer reporting to elevate sustainability narratives

OAKLAND, CA – January 5, 2022Atrius®, part of Acuity Brands, Inc. (NYSE: AYI), announced today Building Insights, a cloud-based solution energy management information system, is now  available to organizations across Europe.  Building Insights helps facility teams reach ambitious sustainability goals by design. The robust application streamlines access to energy consumption metrics, automates manual data management processes, and enhances visibility into overall building performance.

Major environmental initiatives such as the Climate Pledge and the recent United Nations COP26 conference are driving greater demand for accountability and reporting on overall progress towards Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives globally. Signatories to the Climate Pledge commit to regularly measuring and reporting  greenhouse gas emissions and the COP26 finalized rules for data transparency and rigorous reporting guidelines.

“While the need for sustainability reporting continues to increase worldwide, much remains to be done about how we standardize and centralize the data which teams rely on to optimize resource usage,” said Sandeep Modhvadia, Vice President of Product Management at Acuity Brands. “Atrius Building Insights gives customers a holistic view of their portfolio performance at a global scale. Our goal is to enable organizations to focus on meeting and elevating their goals, ultimately effecting positive climate change.”

Atrius customers in France, Germany, Norway, Spain, and the United Kingdom can now take full advantage of Building Insights capabilities, including the ability to integrate with local utility providers, personalize language within the platform, display local currency and costs, and specify metric or imperial as units of measurement.

Organizations gain a more comprehensive understanding of how energy flows through spaces by integrating Building Insights, empowering meaningful action towards making spaces smarter, safer, and greener.

Atrius Building Insights gives energy teams the ability to:

  • Elevate an organization’s sustainability story - Accurate energy reporting and visibility help meet reduction goals at every level and solidify ESG targets as part of company culture. Visually intuitive, Building Insights’ Storyboards feature provides context to corporate-level mandates.
