Surface-mounted luminaire balances caregiver visibility with patient comfort
ATLANTA, July 20, 2026 – Nightingale™ (www.nightingalelighting.com), a patient-centered, design-forward lighting brand for healthcare environments, has unveiled its latest product. The Embrace™ overbed luminaire has now been adapted to meet the unique requirements of MRI suites.
Embrace is a curved overbed luminaire designed to bring comfortable illumination around the patient during key moments of care. With defined light levels for preparation and procedure, it helps soften the visual character of the MRI suite while supporting caregiver visibility.
Rather than concentrating light directly overhead, Embrace places illumination in the patient’s periphery, helping reduce glare and create a softer visual experience. Its curved form surrounds the patient with light, contributing to a more comfortable environment during the MRI procedure while maintaining appropriate light levels for observation and care.
Designed for MRI environments, Embrace combines non-ferrous construction, remote driver architecture, DC power and EMI/RFI filtering to support compatibility with MRI suite requirements.
Embrace is designed for the strict cleanliness standards of MRI environments. NSF2-listed, the luminaire features smooth, non-porous surfaces and a construction that minimizes areas where dirt or debris can accumulate.
