With 7.7 million passengers in 2019, Bordeaux-Mérignac International Airport is the 8th largest French airport. It covers 850 hectares of airport surface area, served by 3 terminals to directly link more than 30 countries.
Why Distech Controls technology?
This large-scale project required a solution that was easy to handle, while centralizing information to gain efficiency. The Distech Controls solution was selected for several reasons.
First, it is a programmable logic controller solution with a very modular and complete web server that won over the end customer. Various communication protocols are incorporated into a single database: BACnet IP, Modbus IP and RTU and MBus. In addition, backup is available from a simple USB key. The schematics and DOAs are stored in the database of the ECLYPSE controller concerned.
Also, the HOA modules proposed by Distech Controls were selected, having the option of timestamped traceability from local forcing to the BMS.
Finally, the freely programmable Distech Controls solution makes it possible to avoid depending on annual licenses for the automation part.
In addition, the local representation of Distech Controls with technical support and the structure of our partner IISB reassured the customer.
