SensorSwitch Introduces Haleon BTP Occupancy Sensor with Dimming Photocell and Flashlight Wakeup Feature

ATLANTA, February 21 – Acuity Brands, Inc. (NYSE: AYI) announced today the Haleon BTP™ fixture integrated occupancy sensors with dimming photocells from SensorSwitch™ are now available. The Haleon BTP showcases a flashlight wakeup feature, allowing the user to update individual or small groups of fixture settings quickly and easily after completing batch programming.

To quickly change fixture settings, the user simply shines a flashlight at the fixture they would like to update up to a 100 ft. range. The light “wakes up” the sensors connecting them to the user’s mobile device with the SensorSwitch VLP Mobile App through Bluetooth® wireless communication*. Once the sensor is programmed through the VLP Mobile App, the user can then set occupancy time delay, dimming, trim values, daylight harvesting, and photocontrol options all from the warehouse floor, which eliminates the need to use a lift or ladder.

“The versatile Haleon sensor is optimized to perform at a variety of mounting heights typical of industrial applications,” said Steven Downs, Product Marketing Manager, Acuity Brands Lighting and Controls. “The small footprint of the Haleon BTP enables seamless integration into the fixture without disrupting aesthetics or requiring additional mounting space, and a stowable lens shield can be positioned to mask areas where detection isn’t needed.”

The Haleon BTP is available for use with the I-BEAM® IBG LED High Bay family from Lithonia Lighting®, and is designed for use with eldoLED® drivers.
