Mark Architectural Lighting Expands SLOT Family with Recessed and Perimeter Luminaires

Atlanta, GA, June 15, 2026 - MARK Architectural Lighting, an established leader in architectural lighting solutions, announced today the addition of SLOT 2, 4, and 6 Recessed and Perimeter, expanding the SLOT offering across ceiling and perimeter applications and completing the SLOT family as a comprehensive, unified system.

SLOT Recessed

SLOT Recessed is a linear luminaire available in 2-inch, 4-inch, and 6-inch apertures, providing direct light output from 300 to 1500 lumens per foot. It is offered with flush (0D) and 1-inch regressed (1D) lens depths and includes five direct optical distributions: Lambertian, batwing, wall wash, wall graze, and asymmetric. Lens configurations include continuous flush and drop lens options in 1/2-inch, 1-inch, and 1-1/2-inch depths, with optional louvers for additional shielding. Integrated downlight options from Aculux® are also available within the linear run for an additional layer of light within one fixture.

SLOT Perimeter

SLOT Perimeter is designed for wall-adjacent conditions and is available in 2-inch, 4-inch, and 6-inch apertures. The luminaire features extruded aluminum and sheet metal construction with a choice of flush or regressed snap-in acrylic lenses and diffusers. Flanged and mud-in trim options are available. It incorporates a field-adjustable telescopic end with adjustment up to 12 inches. Optical distributions include Lambertian, direct asymmetric, and wall graze.

Completing the Family

Both luminaires offer multiple lumen packages from 300 to 1500 lumens per foot, selectable in 50-lumen increments, 90CRI. Color temperature options include 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K, with optional Tunable White technology that enables smooth adjustment of color temperature to support occupant comfort, visual preference, and changing application needs throughout the day. Both products list efficacy values up to 125 LPW.

Lens and shielding options across the two luminaires include optional continuous lens, flush lens, drop lens configurations (on recessed), and painted or natural aluminum louvers. Continuous lens runs are available up to 40 feet before a joiner is required. SLOT Recessed supports a range of ceiling and wall mounting conditions, including flange, gypsum board, install-from-below, grid ceiling, and wall-mounted configurations. SLOT Perimeter supports flanged and grid ceiling installations. Both systems support continuous linear runs and configured patterns using illuminated connectors, including L, X, Y, and T configurations, with patterns available in 1-foot increments.

Both luminaires are available with LED driver configurations providing dimming to 0.1%, 1%, or 10%, as well as non-dimming options, and supporting control interfaces including Analog 0–10V and DALI, with embedded controls by nLight® wired and nLight AIR® wireless systems.

Both SLOT Recessed and SLOT Perimeter are CSA certified to meet U.S. and Canadian safety standards (UL1598 and UL8750) and are IC rated. SLOT Perimeter is suitable for damp locations and indoor use, while SLOT Recessed includes an optional wet location configuration for covered ceiling applications. Selected versions of SLOT Recessed are DesignLights Consortium® (DLC) qualified. Both luminaires offer optional emergency battery configurations for 90 minutes of operation and support integral and remote emergency solutions. Each is backed by a 5-year limited warranty and qualifies under Buy America(n) Act (BAA) and Build America Buy America (BABA) provisions.

The addition of SLOT Recessed and SLOT Perimeter completes the SLOT family and establishes a consistent system platform across the portfolio, defined by a common set of configurations and shared attributes:
