About Care222 Technology
Far-UVC light, specifically the 222nm wavelength, inactivates viruses and bacteria at energy levels that do not penetrate living tissue in skin or beyond the tear layer in eyes. According to the International Ultraviolet Association, filtered 222nm far-UVC light has enough range to traverse viruses and bacteria, which are much smaller in size than human cells.
As a result, this UV technology can be used in occupied spaces.
About HDM
Available in pendant, surface, and recessed fixtures, HDM with Care222 Technology contains a krypton chloride UVC lamp that uses a short pass filter to remove longer wavelengths, resulting in a narrow band of UV light centered at 222nm.
Pendant and surface fixture mounting heights range from 9 ft. to 15 ft. for active pathogen reduction across a variety of spaces.
