New Support Zone Capabilities for nLight: Occupancy and Code Focus

July 1, 2020

The nLight platform has made it easier and faster than ever to meet occupant expectations and code requirements for large open offices. Output devices such as power packs and embedded fixtures for nLight Wired and nLight AIR Wireless now have optional settings to enable support from nearby zones.

The Maintain Dim Level (Local Occ) setting allows a control device to be supported by untracked occupancy sensors on the same wired port or in the same wireless group.  An untracked occupancy sensor is a sensor that the device would normally not listen to.

The Maintain Dim Level (Global Occ) setting allows a wired or wireless device to be supported by all untracked global occupancy channels.  This setting is intended to address a single, large open office’s support zone needs when more than 128 devices are present.

With either setting enabled, lights will go to a dimmed level until all tracked and untracked sensors report unoccupied.  Then lights will go off.

Features/Benefits:

  • Quick support zone setup on multiple devices through the SensorView Network Management option
  • Granular configuration to optionally follow all local or global occupancy channels is enabled at each output device
  • Supported by nLight Wired and nLight AIR Wireless
  • SensorView, CLAIRITY™ Pro, and push-button programming support these new settings
