EarthLIGHT in Action Program
Our partners at Lighting Associates, Inc. (LAI) decided to put EarthLIGHT into action by making a difference in their community. By partnering with PlayTown Suwanee, hosted by the City of Suwanee, GA, associates at LAI spent the afternoon constructing a playground for children to enjoy for many years to come. LAI has been selected as the agency winner of the quarterly raffle for our EarthLIGHT in Action program. We are proud to support their efforts for all the good they are doing in their local community. LAI has decided to give the $10,000 Acuity EarthLIGHT in Action donation to the North Gwinnett Co-Op, “a ministry that provides food, clothing, financial assistance and spiritual support to those in need in the Buford, Suwanee, and Sugar Hill communities.”
In addition, for their own EarthLIGHT efforts, Quality Electrical Distribution (QED) in Denver, CO, was selected as the winner for the EarthLIGHT in Action customer drawing. QED’s WATT (Women Advocating for Today and Tomorrow) chapter came together with Family Tree, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to individuals who have faced forms of abuse and homelessness. QED collected and delivered essential items for Family Tree to give to those in need. QED was honored to give the $10,000 Acuity EarthLIGHT in Action donation to Make-A-Wish in Colorado, an organization that grants wishes of children with critical illnesses.
