CYCLONE LIGHTING LAUNCHES KANATA LUMINAIRE

NEW ROADWAY FIXTURE DELIVERS CONTEMPORARY PERFORMANCE IN A CLASSIC DESIGN

---

Cyclone Lighting announced that it has released its Kanata luminaire in April. While warmly capturing the look and feel of another time, Kanata delivers outstanding photometric performance.

With outstanding photometric performance, Kanata luminaires are suitable for multiple street and roadway applications including urban boulevards and alleyways, city streets, historic districts, and residential neighborhoods.

Kanata’s cast aluminum housing features an integrated adjustable fitter for simplified installation with existing hardware and poles. This enables cities to execute large-scale direct replacement projects efficiently.

Each luminaire incorporates Cyclone’s Orion optics, a high-performance optically engineered system that provides uniform illumination and delivers light where it is needed. The in-house designed Orion light engine combines state-of-the-art optics, LEDs, and thermal management for advanced lighting performance and exceptional durability. Its sealed optical chamber is also IP66 rated for harsh weather conditions.

Orion’s modular design allows cities to choose performance packages ranging from 2,500 delivered lumens to 9,500 delivered lumens. This is equivalent to the traditional 70 to 200W HID fixtures, but with an estimated 70% energy savings. The light engine is tested to 100,000+ hours, significantly reducing maintenance costs over the long-term.

For maximum project flexibility, Kanata luminaires are available in 11 IES Roadway distribution types. And a glass globe ensures low-glare visual comfort while providing long-term LED protection. All fixtures are smart-control ready, with a 7-pin dimmable photocell receptacle.
