Gotham x EarthLIGHT: Creating Quality Experiences through Community

Creating Quality Experiences through Community, Connection, and Education

Over the past few months, Gotham® and our agency partners have been creating quality experiences, not just through product innovation, but through purpose-driven action. As part of our Agent Contest, celebrating the launch of the new, groundbreaking IVO™ family, winning agencies received something even more meaningful: the opportunity to host an event centered on giving back, learning, and connecting with others.

Through Acuity’s #EarthLIGHT initiative, each winning agency received a $5,000 donation to give to a local charity of their choice, along with the chance to organize a community giveback activity. The agencies also engaged peers and customers through CEU presentations and product showcases to bring people together and learn from one another. Here's a recap of what we’ve been up to:

Acuity Brands Canada packaged 50 bags of food for their local food bank and donated $5,000 to Yellow Brick House, a crisis center for women and children. They wrapped the day with a CEU lunch-n-learn at Mulvey & Banani, engaging with the local engineering community.

Electratek Sales Ltd. hosted a day of learning, delivering a CEU, introducing the IVO platform, and packing food care packages for those in need. They chose to donate their $5,000 prize to Chat4Chad, an organization working to end the stigma around mental health in Canada.

WSC Lighting Systems (Wharton Sales Co. Ltd.) made an incredible impact by assembling 50 care bags for chemotherapy patients and donating $10,000 – thanks to a match from Scott and Steve Wharton – to the Breast Care Centre at St. Joseph’s Health Care London.

Wow Lighting and Controls Inc. welcomed engineers, lighting designers, and architects to an educational event exploring architectural downlighting. They also gave back to the community through a $5,000 donation to Zebra Child & Youth Advocacy Centre and prepared 50 food care packages for the Edmonton Food Bank.

What began as a contest to drive engagement and excitement around IVO evolved into something even more meaningful! These events didn’t just celebrate product milestones; they created moments of community, connection, and education. Thank you to all our agency partners for your support and for showing that when we combine innovation with intention, we create quality experiences.
