How to Disable the PDT Capability on an nLight Occupancy Sensor - Acuity Brands

September 17, 2015

This video will walk through the steps of disabling the Passive Dual Technology (PDT) capability of an nLight occupancy sensor. The PDT’s function is to use sound and heat detection in order to detect occupancy in a controlled lighting zone. By disabling the PDT function, the sound detection (or Microphonics technology) will be turned off. The ability to turn off the PDT function is one of many features that highlights the nLight’s customizable control over any wireless lighting control system. The referenced “push-buttons controls” video can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gp6pGlKcx64 The nLight programmed device featured in this video is the NCM XX RJB.
