Accolades for Atrius™ from CIO Applications

September 12, 2017 Neil Egan

“Atrius is truly solving real world problems.”

That’s not marketing speak from us – it’s the POV  of CIO Applications, a leading IT trade magazine that describes itself as bringing “to light the core innovations in technology.”

Bringing to light, indeed! That tagline in the magazine’s About Us section perfectly conveys the power of our Atrius™ Internet of Things (IoT) platform, which was the focus of the cover story – “Illuminating the IoT” – in the magazine’s September 2017 issue.

Even better, CIO Applications named us and our Atrius platform and software as one of the Top 25 IoT Solution Providers -- 2017. The annual list of companies is selected by a panel of experts and members of CIO Applications’ editorial board to recognize and promote technology entrepreneurship.

We’re proud of that distinction, but even more proud – as so aptly described by the magazine – that we are “in-market with an ingenious new technology platform that marries solid-state LED lighting, controls, with platform software services and analytics to advance smart buildings, smart cities, smart campuses…in short…smart spaces."

In the article, Acuity SVP Greg Carter, explains how luminaires enabled by Atrius are being used in a U.S. airport to collect data and monitor waiting times at TSA lines, monitor availability of wheelchairs and locate staff for redeployment.

That’s just one example, of many, of how Atrius has moved well beyond proof of concept to full-scale deployment covering more than 60 million square feet … and counting. Atrius is attractive, our customers tell us, because it unlocks critical data that can inform business decisions. And that brings even more value to their lighting systems, beyond the energy-efficiency and improved lighting inherent in LED.

The Internet of Things is here, now. Is your business taking full advantage of it? We can help “light the way.”
